But it folds…
A bit of a useless fold but I guess it would enable you to put it in some cars
My mate is off to his son’s wedding so he lends me his Greenspeed for 4 days and I plan to put a few 100d ks on it before giving it back. I do own 2 recumbents [one long and one short and folding] so I have peddled many 1000ens of ks on them.
First day… 40ks
At the end of the day these are my feelings…
Pros… I love the bar end shifters [None of my many bike have them and I found them great to use]
Cons…
“Hang on Leigh you never finished the Pros”
“Yes I did”
Cons…
At speed [downhill above 50kph] I could feel every bump and road vibration.
It was/is a rough ride at any speed.
Been low I thought would be an advantage but who likes looking up the bumpers of cars to say nothing of the fumes in traffic.
It steered like a Billycart
I found it hard on the flat to stay above 20kph [on my 2 wheel recumbents I have no worries staying over 30]
On hills [sure it is nice to know you can go so slow and not fall over but…] it is slow… much slower then any of my bikes.
The seat is not as comfortable as ones with padding under you [this could be fixed if one owned it]
Brakes worked well… as in stopping one quickly… but screamed like banshees [this could be fixed too] Hard braking in corners didn’t feel safe [but I guess one will get use to this]
I really wanted to like this bike and I thought one day when I’m old and gray [I’m only a boy at 62] I might need one but after one day I think this is unlikely.
But I’ll keep riding it for the next 3 days and report back
