Your best bet is to search ebay for the clear color housing. Lots of bikes came with clear housing in the early-mid 80's including Schwinn, Miyata, Univega, so it's not completely rare. I picked up some last year on ebay for a Miyata 210 redo for about a buck a foot. Keep in mind that it will probably not have any kind of lining, so grease them cables.
