VeloOrange has the brake and shift housings available seperately, but claim they do not match. Does anyone know of other sources? (Or just tell me the colors are close enough for a ridden bike) I have looked with no luck. Here is a picture of the brake housing:

Also, where is Shimano Light Action in the pecking order? The LA rear der on this trek feels as smooth as the Ultegra 10sp on my Cannondale.
Wow, that Trek looks sweet! Have you posted more pics anywhere else in C&V? If not, please do (The recent thread about classic frames updated with brifters comes to mind). Sorry I can't help with the clear housing--I'd like to pick up some myself for my RB-2, and haven't seen any lately. I have a Shimano "Light Action" rear derailleur on my '91 Bridgestone CB-0. It has been the smoothest, most reliable unit I have ever owned. When I needed to replace an Exage LX derailleur on a Giant Hybrid I was flipping this year, I was fortunate to find this one on ebay. I think it cost me just over $20 delivered. I felt lucky to get one at that price, as to my mind, they seem as well made as XT of the same vintage.
