Machinists are the coolest folks! Some of my fondest childhood memories were of the term in Machine Shop in HS. Once when I was in college, I had a co-op job in a consulting firm that ran their own machine shop. The head of the shop allowed me to use the stuff when it wasn't too busy, to make custom items for my motorcycle. Oh how I want a Bridgeport! To this day!
