Don't tell me that bike commuting is too dangerous: "crashed" today...

... on the subway! Rain today prevented me from commuting in on the bike (I generally avoid the rain if it's in the AM for a number of reasons, esp in the cold weather!). So, I took the subway. Climbing the stairs at 14th St. from the "A" train, a guy in a suit, hurrying to catch the train from which I had alighted, took me out. I landed hard on my right knee. Aleve and the icepack I keep at work are doing their thing at the moment. The dude, unlike, say, a hit-and-run driver, did pause, eventually, and asked "are you OK?". My reply was unprintable.

Don't let anyone tell you bike commuting is too dangerous. @#$% can happen anywhere!
