Sherry, finding a good fit has a lot to do with what size tires you have on your bike. If you have the original wheels on that bike, I'd guess they're 27 x 1 1/4" tires. I have a set of the Velo Orange smooth alloy fenders, and they fit fine on a geared bike with that wheelsize. Installation took some fitzing. On a different bike, I have a set of Planet Bike Cascadia fenders. By far, they were the easiest fenders to install and adjust, and the coverage and built-in mudflap are very good. The "Hybrid" model would be what you'd need for 27" wheels: http://ecom1.planetbike.com/7026.html. Various eBay merchants sell them at a discount.
