I keep going back to the weekly Montrose ride here in SoCal to take the punishment and to see how far I can hang with the pack. Every time I ride with them I get dropped, and I've been riding with these guys off and on since 1994. I've been dropped on every single ride with these guys. On one ride several years ago I came very close to finishing with the peloton, due to the fact that there was a big race the next day and they weren't pushing as hard that morning. One of these days I'll be able to hang with them til the end.
