I never bid on anything before about 15 seconds before the end. I do the bidding myself and win about 90% of the items I'm really trying to win. I seem to bid on fairly common things so it's not too hard to find auctions that end at a time I can be at the PC. Sometimes keeping my cats off the keyboard at crunch time is another matter but it's all part of the game.
