Pricing advice on my fixie
This is not an ad--
I'm selling my Motobecane Grand Jubilee road fix here in NYC (where there seems to be a market for such things, at least on Craigslist). I have two 'beater' fixies, like my other one better, and would like to get a more serious track bike, so off she goes...
The frame's in great shape structurally but is a little ugly. Still, it seems pounds lighter than the steel frame on my other bike (I think it's cromoly on the Moto). It's got a new rear wheel with a track hub + lockring and a 15t gear. The cranks and pedals are ****ty and a little clicky but all right. When my friend converted it, it wasn't possible to remove the larger chainwheel, so it's on as a clunky bit of history.
My guess is the target audience here is either a newbie who would like to try a fixed and wants an easy solution, or someone with more experience who would like either the wheel or the frame for their own endeavors. My two beefs with it are that it's small for me and parts for french bikes are a pain in the ass to find. I expect to take a little bit of a bath here since it cost me a bit to get the new stuff to convert it, but I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the direction of a reasonable asking price.
Thanks!
