OK,
Left over MC days stuff hear, but ALL fork are air forks to some extent.
There is air in the chamber, when the fork compresses the air does too.
But since this has elastomers, it probably does NOT have oil, and as such may not be sealed.

If it has oil, and is then sealed, you can add air valves to the caps and add a LITTLE air to help the springs.

Might not work on a cheaper (I don't know what price point your fork is) bike fork.
