You can easily change the shape of a carbon fiber wheel. When the carbon is heated, the epoxy softens which allows it to warp. I use this all the time to fix warps in other molded carbon product. Thats was "natrual carbon" frames are bad.
Thermoset resins like epoxy do not soften when reheated
Thermoplastic resins (epoxy isn't a themoplastic) will soften when reheated
