That's actually 2 Fenixes, and they're going in and out of sync with each other...even more annoying than 1 by itself. Of course as the little description says I don't strobe them at night (I'm pretty sure as a "tactical strobe" it's designed to disorient people you point it at in low light situations...and I don't want to disorient drivers or myself). Also mentioned in the description, usually one is handlebar mounted and the other is helmet mounted, and I think the distance between them doesn't make it as annoying when they go in and out of sync. I agree the strobe is a bit faster than necessary, but it definitely gets attention even in bright sunlight. FWIW I prefer the Dinotte 5 quick flashes/always on at low level flash pattern.
