Just to let everyone know that I went $50 over my initial budget and got the Kona Dew Plus (from Sweet Pete's on Bloor, if you must know). (For the record, I never even tested the Jamis Coda because it's selling for $600+ every in the city.)

I was tempted by the Flite 220, but in the end I decided that something more mountain bike-y was what I wanted. (If anyone is looking for a sub-$500 Cnd. chromo road bike go down to Europe Bound on Front St.)

Just got home from my first 10 km ride across town and am VERY pleased.
