i got "yo lance" comments from one of my students in a class i was teaching during a brief intermission (i had to bike in that day instead of taking the shuttle since i was running late). needless to say, he and one of his classmates were having a blast doing it. they were a bit dismayed when i took points off one of their assignments - IMHO, it was completely disrespectful (their manner, not their words) to direct this towards the instructor, regardless of who it was. hopefully they learned their lesson.
