Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

For any ultra thin and/or fragile tubing bike (carbon, Al, steel or Ti), a replacement cheap seatpost can be used to provide a safe clamping location for any workstand. Buy the cheapest MTB length seatpost you can find in the right diameter and dedicate it to workstand use. No clamp of any design can possibly damage it.
