The other week I approached a construction zone and the flagman waved me through and said as I neared, "The peloton is just ahead". I told him I'd catch them, then as I rode away wondered how he knew the word 'peloton' and thought it was pretty cool.

The other day I was stopped at a light and a guy on a motorcycle pulled next to me and asked, "Do you want to race?" like Lance did when he pulled next to the chopper at the end of his Dasani water commercial. We had a friendly conversation...

I think more people are aware of bicycles because of Lance, and not seeing them as mere toys. After all, Harley Davidson used to make bicycles. They are a part of history that continues today.
