Well my problem is that my bike has this lameass little fox air piston on the rear, which only has about 1" travel. I'm not sure if that will conflict with my choice of fork. I want to get this fork and Ideally move it on to my next frame, which will be better. But I'm not sure I'll be able to do that, now that I know that the steerer tube (the tube that comes off the fork? or is this the tube that the fork goes into on the frame?) can be different sizes on bikes.

I don't know if itll be oil, pneumatic, or spring. I have no idea about the pros/cons of each. I just want a nice fork that is an actual shock. It seems right now that my crappy rock shox are essentially a SPRING. It's so lame.
