That is the OEM setup on my wife's Bianchi Eros. It has 130 spacing, RX100 hubs and 7-speed 13-28 cassette with a spacer (a locknut outboard of the cone nut) on the non-cassette end of the axle.

I have reason to believe, however, that RX100 came out earlier than '97. I bought the aforementioned Bianchi as a Valentine's Day gift in 1995.
