Finally, after all these months I've decided to post again to bikeforums. There is so much to say (err...type) about what has happened to me over the last several months since I bought a bike that fateful day two and a half years ago.
I don't think I have enough time to do that here so I'll get to the bottomline.
I've gone from 250 pounds to around 174 pounds. There has been a lot of changes to my body. And before I continue on to the next phase of my transformation I need to find a good....and I mean a GOOD doctor to give me a full physical and a full evaluation of what exactly did I do to my body.
I need a doctor in the New York City area who is also a bike rider/runner and/or fitness enthusiast (triathelete?) who would be more sensitive to my needs.
I've dropped pounds but now I realize that I have very poor muscular development especially in the core and upper body. I also have a nagging lower back problem. So, if I want to get even more serious about my transformation I'm going to need a supervised training regiment now.
I suspect that such doctors are probably members of this forum as well. So NYC fitness enthusiasts/doctors....which one of you all wants to take me on as a new patient? I'm not looking for another clinic type of doctor who will tell the nurse to take my blood and urine and weight and to see him again in 6 weeks.
I need a thorough physical complete with all the tests so I can have a detailed analysis of all my vitals like any one would of an athelete......even though I'm not one. Did I do any damage to myself out of ignorance? Where should I go from here with my training? I need some encouragement and some good solid advice from a knowledgeable doctor....from the nyc area.
Oh.....and ya need to take GHI as well.
Any takers?
