Why is the local dealer so absolutely necessary?
Cut out the middle man and deal directly with the builder seems like a decent option to me.

That being said Moots builds a VERY nice bike. Wife rides one

Eriksen will spend hours on the phone with you if need be, but won't have a local dealer. You'll get custom geometry if you need or want it at virtually the same price as a shelf Moots.

I am biased though, I may have talked to the wrong gal when I called Moots directly to ask about doing a custom build.
