I'm one of those people who make every damn purchasing decision mainly on logic: don't need it, don't buy it. Don't need it in the future, don't buy it. I much prefer to use my stuff to the end of its life before buying something new, hence I never buy and sell my used sh*ts. That said, I'll be breaking the trend just once when I build up a Campagnolo equipped bike next year.
I think if more people had experience with both Campagnolo and Shimano, at lot of the B/S would fall away. My previous bike had a complete 105 set up. On my current bike, i specified a full Centaur set up. Eventually some of the parts became Chorus when i went from a double to a triple. For my part, I'm not planning a return to Shimano anytime soon.
