Okay, here is my two cents worth:
1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?
A: I am still riding my first and only "real" road bike, a 2002 Cannondale R700 USA Edition, although I am in the market for a full carbon Utegra/DA road bike.
2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?
A: A senior version of a multivitamins/multiminerals, time-release vitamin C, MSM and Glucosamine.
3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?
A: A little, but less than the 50+ generation as a whole.
4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?
A: Started riding a road bike at least weekly in Dec. 2002.
5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides, commute, tour, race?
A: I only ride for fitness and recreation, on weekday evenings or Saturday mornings, sometimes alone, sometimes with a group. Six to eight charity rides a year.
6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?
A: About twice a week, usually in the 25-50 mile range, sometimes 70 miles, a few times longer (i.e.: century). Annual mileage is 2,000-2,500.
7. Do you do any other type of physical activities - weight lifting, skiing, running, etc.?
A: I try to cross train with a little running, make that jogging.
Perhaps you might indicate your age on your reply??
A: DOB: 12/22/1950, so I will turn 57 in Dec. 2007.
Ride On!
