I did this yesterday and the hairdryer did not help at all. I used a credit card for a while but it was slow and tedious. Then I used an old junk cd which seemed to have a sharper edge than the credit card, and it worked amazingly. The cd also was made of a more brittle and harder plastic than the credit card, so it kept its edge longer (or so it seemed).
