Yeah, I've never known what charity TDP was for, I've just ridden twice.
I doubt I will ride it this year.
Man, finally a ride in my neck of the woods and everybody (that means you, ME) opts out.
I found the info regarding the charities fairly easy to find:
"Every year the Tour de Palm Springs continues to attract more and more riders. The money generated has gone to help many organizations in the Coachella Valley. In 2006 over $175,000 was donated to 75 different entities that in their own special ways met the varied needs of the people in the Coachella Valley.
"The 2008 event will continue a ten year tradition of honoring individuals who are special in the Coachella Valley.
"Review the list of
organizations receiving donations.
