Rain and gear. What do YOU use?
I have found myself riding in the rain a few times as of late. I never wear any "rain specific gear" as it is fairly warm at all times here in South Florida, and even when I had used a rain jacket I still got wet just the same. However, one thing I have found problematic is that the shoes get so saturated with water that even after it stops raining and the rest of me is fairly dry, the shoes/socks/feet continue to be saturated with water to the end of the ride. I wear 2007 Sidi Ergo 2 shoes. I used to weat LG shoes with carbon soles, which were ventd on the soles and so the water would simply drain out and keep the feet quite cool in summer. I thought these Sidi shoes were also vented, but I guess they are not.
Any solutions or suggestion outside of "get some vented shoes"?
