Yah I took the developmental class last year (or was it 2 years ago, I forget).
All I can say is it's a blast, most fun I've had on a bike in a long time.
Contact the education coordinator (follow the links for the class) and get yourself
signed up for the class. The class provides bikes all you need to bring is either pedals and shoes
or just shoes (they have clip/strap pedals available to use) and a helmet.
They go over basic rules of the track, intro to single speed riding and then do some "follow the Leader"
riding on the skirt of the track and then onto the track itself. The class I took was broken up by
age/and road catagory, 1/2 of us were riding at any one time. After the class portion they ran
2 scratch races, one 1000 meter race (4 laps) and one 2000 meter race.
I will warn you though, it can be addictive and you'll soon find yourself over at RBM looking at
track bikes and components.
