I have the same white Trek Antelope 800 as shown in that picture. Mine is a 1990 bike. I agree that your components would date yours earlier. In 1990, the 800 had a Biopace crank with Shimano Exage Country thumbshifters and deraillaires. It's a heavy bike, but I've considered posting a picture of it in the "most cherished bike" thread since it's always been very dependable and comfortable. I still spend money upgrading it even though it isn't worth anything on the resale market. I've replaced the biopace crank with a Sugino XD300 and the freewheel and the handlebars with a Nitto Albatross bar with a Zoom adjustable stem and the saddle with a Brooks B67. I also put on those MKS sneaker pedals that Rivendell sells, plus a Blackburn rear rack. If you put on a rack and fenders, you'll have a terrific city bike/commuter/winter beater, etc.
