Yes, I have an early 80's SR sports tourer. It's quite a mystery. The most prevalent opinion is that it was made by Sakai Ringyo-- the folks that make components-- but there's also some evidence of SRs being made in California and Mexico, although they may be different makers with the same name. Mine clearly says it's Japanese. I like it a lot... it has pretty arabesque components on it.
