I got back from a 40-miler. There was cloud cover so it was not as cold as it had been. Tights, LS base layer and SS jersey was all today. Hooked up with some guys heading towards the Pier Ride. I just noticed some snot on my tights. At best, I hope it's mine.
I hate being congested...snot flies everywhere, no matter how talented I may be a snot rocketing.
At least with solid crusties, you generally know where they're headed...but when it shoots out in a spray at 25 mph...it can get all over your shoulder, arm, cheek, ear, helmet, glasses, legs, bike...Then, of course, you use your gloves to wipe it off, then hit a pothole and grab your bars...so now you've got snotbars to deal with.
