I put the inner wire in from the front. Then put a spoke in the hole at the other end. Try to catch the wire with the spoke head.

But the holes in the older Raleigh frames are quite wee.

Bikes like Raleigh Max have longer holes.

I slotted my Raleigh Denim that I chopped so the 2 holes were made into one.
Easier to get the wires out
