Try one and see. If it feels good, do it! With a bent you don't have any weight on your shoulders and upper body like an upright bike which may or may not help with your pain. I suspect it will help, but there are always exceptions.
One of the biggest dangers to trying a bent, as I've seen over and over while lending mine to friends for a test ride, is loving the thing, getting hooked and addicted to riding them, and then telling all your buddies "wish I had done this 20 years earlier!"
But every once is a while I find someone who tried a bent for a particular ache and pain that it should have helped, and they found it actually made it worse or at least it didn't help. So trial and error is the theme of the day. There are exceptions to every rule!
