By the way, you might also look to see if something like an old fashioned mixte might work for you.





I no longer have this particular Raleigh mixte, but they are great bikes, and you might be able to find an inexpensive one on the local Craigslist. Mixtes come in both drop handlebars, and handlebars that allow for a more upright stance (like the one in the photo).
