OK, hopefully somebody who has done this will be able to help me. I have ordered an alien (same as andel) crankset. They claim that with a 107 BB you'll achve a 42mm chainline at the chainring. Mavic Ellipse rear cog reportedly sits at 44mm.
How can i get the alien chainring to be 44mm also? Should I try a 109 BB? Thank you.
you need to add 2mm to the driveside...that would be 111mm total (+4mm, 2mm per side), assuming the spindle is symmetric. 111mm is a common campy length, so make sure you get the right taper for your crank (which i'd bet is JIS, not ISO/campy).
