It's possible to run 40mm of spacers and still have substantial drop from the seat to the bars depending on the frame size, geometry, stem etc.
No more ignorant than the four people who suggested he flip the stem up, despite the fact that he mentioned the stem was already flipped up in the original post.
1. BTW, he also mentioned his drop is about 2.75".
2. If his goal is racing he
should be working on his flexibility
3. If his goal is not racing he shouldn't have bought a bike with such a short head tube.
4. I think the fact that he still has that much drop with that many risers says most of what I need to know about his fit.
