I am getting the Bottecchia CF frameset and originally planned to just swap my 9spd 105 gruppo over to the new frameset. But I have a few bucks from Xmas so I was thinking of upgrading to the Ultegra 10spd brifters since I need to get a 34.9 FD anyway for the new frame. I can still use my 9spd RD, etc for the time being with the new brifters, FD and R600 crank until I save a few bucks more for the RD, Cassette and chain. (which I may have by the time the frame comes in anyway)

My question is, should I get the Ultegra brifters at PBK for $217 or spend the $26 more for the Ultegra SL's for "look" and the 40 or so grams of weight savings? ie - is the new SL worth the extra $26?

FYI: I already plan to buy the Ultegra SL FD and RD but the price on PBK for the brifters are too good to pass up! Unfortunately, I don't have the $$ to buy it all at once at the moment and by the time I do I may miss out on the current PBK prices.
