skidding KILLS tires, especially if you live in hilly areas or ride through lots of traffic.
though, using the bareknucle brigade rabbit tool can help you find a gear ratio with a well distributed skid patch pattern. I got lucky-- 47x16 is actually ideal. It might be worth it to research this if you feel like you burn through tires too often...
