I got an all-in-one Park emergency toolkit from my son. My wife also hates my hobby & bikes. I finance most of the bigger purchases through flipping bikes on Craigslist. She hates that too.
Her attitude changed slightly on my commuting improved slightly when it allowed my daughter to have access to a car when she was home for summer.
BTW - someone dropped a pant size, dropped a belt size, and 20 lbs this year
