FWIW...I'm not so high-minded. (1) I've just never been comfortable in their shoes, and (2) I tend to favor the underdog...Nike's just such a behemoth, that there are other companies I'd rather support. Granted this is perhaps totally irrational. I buy mostly Budweiser products (grew up in St. Louis though, so I have a legit bias). But I'd be very DIS-inclined to buy a bike from Trek solely b/c everyone has one....not saying this makes sense.
