Christmas surprise

Well this is the kind of Christmas present you do not want: Opened my MasterCard bill today and the account has been totally trashed with fraud. $2,900 in fradulent charges in less than a month. I am not going to cast stones until I have some proof but the fraud started after the card was used to buy, what else, some bike stuff from an internet store on the US west coast.

$800 spent in Isarel, $900 at a check cashing place in Tyler Texas, $400 at a cell phone outfit in Ireland, the list goes on and on. Spent 3 hours on the phone with the bank's fraud department.

The one guy that IS going to go to jail over this is a student at a Canadian University that will remain nameless until the guy is in cuffs. He used the card numbers to refill his student spending account. Kind of like going into rob a bank and putting your phone number on the note. We will see how serious the Mounties are about these type of crimes.

So check your statements very carefully. Card has been stopped but this is just not right.

Seasons Greetings and Happy New Year to all.
