I'm looking at spending $600 or less on a bike for commuting and have heard some good ideas from friends at work. One lady likes to commute on a road bike and she put panniers on the back and she said she can get to places a lot faster than on a MTB. I am also thinking of a hybrid with disc brakes too but want to hear some pros and cons about each.
