A few years ago I did a stage race that had a large crit/small circuit race (1 lap was like 3+ km) in which one of my team mates flatted on the back side of the course. Because it was technically a road race there was a neutral bike with wheels. The lazyass driver gave my team mate a LOUSY wheel change (without ever removing the smoke from his mouth) and then drove off.

Now, not being a crit there was no neutral lap and the group was long gone but, being a flat, 4-corner race of 80km it was basically a crit. So...my team mate hid in the bushes as the group whizzed by and jumped out just after we came around again. He chased for about half a lap and caught on.
