I finally made one of these today. It took awhile but once I got the hand of it I could make one in a few minutes.

I was using a 700 x 23 tube, which is all that I had. A wider tube would work better. But the small tube appears to work. I still need to take it for a test ride. It is supposed to be warmer Saturday and Sunday so I will try to take it for a ride around the neighborhood. But it appears sturdy and stable.

When I mounted it on the bike, it appeared that I had done something wrong. At first I thought that I had made it wrong. Then I realized that I did not have it installed like the video. Once I corrected that it worked like it was supposed to. I figure that with my ineptitude, if I can make one from watching the video, anyone can. Interestingly enough, one of the mounts on the webpage that I referenced above is made similarly.

A lady that I bike with needs to buy a light and has seen me using the fenix on rides but has not had a chance to use it. I will mount it on her bike since it is so fast and easy to mount on the bars with this device, probably takes a minute or less, and let her try it. I think she will be sold. She likes my L&M Vega so she will love the fenix.
