Ouch! Get better soon! Don't feel bad, though; when I was new to Toronto, I didn't think anything of riding over tracks in the rain, until my rear wheel got stuck and I crashed into an intersection...

Best to find a tire that works in wet weather and approach tracks at even speeds at 90 degrees with no tilt.
