Hmmmm...maybe. I'll have to check again. I was just reading an old book that was talking about converting Record clamp-on shifters to braze-ons by removing those collars and reusing them. Maybe I didn't include that in the measurement. If that's the case, then you should be able to mount modern shifter levers on the old Record clamp-on mount. Not sure why I would want to do that but you never know, just something to keep in mind.
