Is there any lip at all on the edge of the rim? I can't really tell from the photos. I've got Arayas with absolutely flat walls, and I've got some with a small but definite lip at the edge. The ones with the lip will hold high pressure tires (at least up to 100psi), but the lip is nothing like the sharper, much more defined hooked edge on modern rims.
