if you're looking for maximum price, parting out on the 'bay is hard to beat. i have a sideline doing exactly that using cheaper sources (esp. CL), in order to pay for the stuff i really want. works great! my net expenditure on bike related stuff last year was ~$500, and i added 2 complete bikes and a frame (moots!) to the stable, and god knows how much other stuff.

that said, the stuff that is really nice or that i know will be appreciated by other cycle nuts i usually offer at what i consider a fair price on one of the several forums i frequent. good for the karma and all...
