OTish: New bike on bank's dollar?

So I went to the bank today to deposit a 270ish paycheck. When I got the receipt it says that they put in over 1,100 extra in my account! It is also showing up on my Net teller account with them. Now I have no clue if this is true or not, but I think i remember hearing somewhere that if the bank errs on a transaction to your benefit, they really can't do anything about it. So is this ferreal? Or am I going to log on tomorrow to find my bank account as empty as it ought to be?

Edit: Also there is the concern that it'd be unlawful for me to not do anything about this. That and there is the moral side of things, but I'll worry about that once I figure out what's going on.
