The Madison Parks Division plows the city MUPs quickly after snow fall. I hear complaints from motorists about the MUPs getting cleared faster than the streets (which is probably true for residential streets). I appreciate this as it seems the city-street bike lanes on my commute seem to never get cleared with heavy snow fall. We even have a volunteer doing our (non-city) segment of the Capital City State trail (~16 miles). With my commute I have the luxury of an almost door-to-door 10 mile each way MUP ride. Weekends allow me 20+ mile MUP rides.
So I guess relative to most people in snowy locales a strange thing to see would be: 20+ miles of plowed bike path commuting in the winter. Keeps me off the snowy streets and less likely to meet an untimely doom...
