this calculator is way off. I am 5' 10 and it tells me that I can go down as low as 129 and still by normal. there is no way I could go down to 129 with out being underweight, in fact I don't think I could be living at that weight. I currently weight 160 with 6% body fat and i am more towards the overweight of the normal categories. BMI is not a good measure for athletes.
About climbing hills. it is true that if you ride more hills you will get better but not everyone is build to climb fast. You can only do so much with what you got. Maybe you are built to be a sprinter.
