Exactly. I came up with Linux, when it was still in beta and Slackware was the only distribution around. I went to a Magnet School and studied programming, and even contributed some early code to Linux, porting a few BSD apps for class credit.
So I love the functionality of Unix, but the ease of a slick GUI. Apple has wrapped this up nicer than Gnome or KDE ever will, and it's not worth my time to deal with Windows, so buying an iBook was a no-brainer.
Also, Doc_Holiday is a moron.
